Location: Palm Beach, qathet Regional District
Date and Time: August 22, 2026 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM
We will be getting married on August 18, 2026, in a private ceremony. We look forward to celebrating with our friends and families on August 22.
Our Story
Our first date was a lovely oceanside walk on August 18, 2022. Andrew quickly gained the approval of Tater and Petey, so he was allowed to stay. After painting a few rooms and installing new flooring in our apartment, we both knew we were in it for the long haul. In October 2025, we got engaged. Now, we are very excited to be getting ready to celebrate our marriage with all of you.

Venue Details
Our celebration will take place at Palm Beach Regional Park (1193 Palm Beach Rd, Powell River).
The park is approximately 20 minutes south of Powell River by car.
To access the park, take Hwy. 101 south (from the City of Powell River) or north from Saltery Bay to Lang Bay Road. Turn down Lang Bay Road towards the water, then turn left on Palm Beach Road. The park’s parking lot is about one half block down on your right.

Safety Notes
(What do you expect from two safety nerds…)
There are minimal taxis in the area, and we are not sure if the one Uber driver will be working on the night of our celebration. If you intend to consume alcohol, please plan a safe ride home or back to your accommodation.
The park is on the ocean, so please watch your kiddos, and stay out of the water if you have been drinking.
Dress Code
Please wear whatever you want!
Getting to the qathet Region
From Vancouver Island
Driving
BC Ferries operates four sailings a day from Comox (Little River) to Powell River (Westview). Reservations are highly recommended.
From the Lower Mainland
Driving
The qathet region is two ferries away from Vancouver:
- Horseshoe Bay to Langdale (free southbound)
- Earls Cove to Saltery Bay (free northbound)
Give yourself half a day to complete the trip. Reservations for the Horseshoe Bay-Langdale route are highly recommended. The Earls Cove-Saltery Bay route is non-reservable.
Flying
Pacific Coastal Airlines operates the only commercial service into Powell River Airport (YPW). There are multiple flights a day from the south terminal of Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
Note: The YVR south terminal is not connected to the main domestic/international terminals, but there is a free shuttle bus to transport passengers between them.
There is a limited rental vehicle fleet (Budget – 604-485-4131) at YPW.
You can also take a seaplane from Vancouver Harbour to Powell Lake with Harbour Air.
Note: Powell Lake is not near the city centre. You would need to arrange a pick-up or take a bus into town.
Where to Stay
There are many hotels in the area. Here are our top recommendations:
There are also a few Airbnb options.
Gifts
We do not need you to bring us any gifts. Your presence at our celebration is our present. However, if you really want to give us something, a contribution to our honeymoon/travel fund would be awesome.
